Birketts assists Zedify secure angel investment

Top 100 law firm Birketts have helped Zedify secure investment from a group of private investors led by Green Angel Syndicate.

Zedify, which was founded in 2018 by Rob King and Sam Keam, offers a complete logistics service for local businesses who need flexible deliveries within their city as well as national deliveries via carrier partners.

The deal was led by Ed Savory with support provided by William Kemp and Macauley Alsford.

Rob King, co-founder of Zedify, said: “It became apparent that we needed sound legal support and Ed was able to provide that, navigating some tricky issues. This funding will unlock our ambitious plans for innovation and growth as we look to have up to 20 depots by 2022. Our plans include improving our unique technology platform, expanding the capacity of our national team with new hires and support plans for up to 20 depots to be operational by 2022.”

Ed Savory, Corporate Partner at Birketts concluded: “Zedify’s future looks incredibly exciting. The model will enable rapid growth and the investment signals the huge market potential for efficient, consolidated first and last-mile urban deliveries. Right now, a zero emission logistics business is so relevant and will be for the foreseeable future. I wish Rob, Sam and the rest of the Zedify team all the best and hope to continue to work closely with them to support what promises to be an exciting growth trajectory.”
