Bretts Transport gears up for growth with restructure

Guyhirn-based Bretts Transport has reported a steep increase in the number of enquiries from prospective customers, with more sales leads over the past two months than in the last couple of years combined.

Now in its 93rd year of business, CEO Simon Brett says the company is experiencing unprecedented demand.

To support the company’s growth, former Operations Director Simon Stockwin has been appointed Managing Director while Simon Brett takes the helm as CEO, focusing on a more strategic role to steer the long-term direction of the business.

Simon Brett said: “Like everyone else in the industry we have come up against some unprecedented challenges in the past few years, starting at the time of the pandemic and the lockdowns and continuing in the aftermath.

“In that time all our time and energy has been spent on meeting the demands of the day-to-day, ensuring a consistent service for every one of our customers.

“Having navigated our way through a volatile landscape, we are now looking to the future and a growth trajectory, and Simon is the ideal candidate to head up the next phase on our journey.

“This marks an exciting juncture for Bretts. As someone who has been instrumental in helping to transform the business in the seven years he has been here, the role of MD is a natural progression for Simon.

“With his appointment I now have the opportunity to plan future growth and investment and how best we achieve our strategic aims and ambitions for the company.”
