East meets best: world-class SEO leaders head to Norwich

Digital marketing meetup SearchNorwich has revealed a ‘supersized conference’ in the city this year, featuring world-class SEO speakers, talks and panels.

SearchNorwich XL, which the organisers say is the biggest all-day SEO event of its kind in the East, will be held at the Maddermarket Theatre on September 24.

Martin Splitt, Developer Relations Engineer at the Google Search team in Zurich, Switzerland and Dixon Jones, CEO of internationally-renowned SEO tools inLinks and Waikay, will be among the  speakers.

They will join 250 digital marketing professionals from all over the world, including Switzerland, Canada, Türkiye, and the Netherlands.

Talks and panel discussions will cover the SEO expertise spectrum, from data analytics and genAI search strategies to the application of brain science insights to search behaviour.

An afterparty will follow for additional networking opportunities with speakers and attendees.

The aim is to provide digital marketers in the East of England – including students, freelancers, in-house marketers and agencies – with the same standard of SEO conference as would be commonly offered in a major city.

SearchNorwichXL is the brainchild of the team behind Norwich digital agency Candour, who were recently certified as a Great Place to Work® by the globally recognised authority on workplace culture.

“We’re really excited to bring some of the best SEO talent in the world to Norwich,” says Mark Williams-Cook, founder of SearchNorwich.

“Up until now, the only way to see these kinds of speakers was to travel to London or Brighton to one of the larger conferences, which isn’t easy for everyone.

“There is a huge amount of digital skill in Norwich, so a great opportunity for agencies, businesses, and freelancers who are looking to get the most out of search and AI to get involved”
