Global marketing award for Norfolk consultancy

By Judi-Mae Alderton, Founder & Owner, Mae Day Marketing

Marketing professional Judi-mae Alderton, owner of Mae Day Marketing, is celebrating an astounding global win at the Corporate LiveWire Innovation & Excellence Awards.

Mae Day Marketing was named Business Marketing Consultancy of the Year at the Awards – a huge scoop for the Norwich-based business.

Corporate LiveWire received 27,515 nominations from 34 countries worldwide, making this year’s competition exceptionally fierce.

Alderton, born in Great Yarmouth and an IT & business graduate from the University of East Anglia, launched Mae Day Marketing in the summer of 2019 to offer independent support to ambitious, forward-thinking businesses in the UK and beyond.

Since then – and despite the negative business impacts of the pandemic – she has grown her business to the next level.

Mae Day Marketing works with businesses on their marketing, PR, digital strategies and events. For example, her work helped her first long-term client, Brook House Hops, raise their profits by 50%, despite the pandemic.

Alderton describes herself as a “creative, strong and confident, an excellent strategist” and “an absolute digital marketing genius, with a very long personal history and background in digital technology and communications.”

The judges of the Corporate LiveWire Innovation & Excellence Awards were impressed with Mae Day Marketing’s ‘community feel, personal touch and emphasis on service’. These qualities have  also been recognised by previous clients such as Norwich City Council, who used Mae Day Marketing in 2022 to support a central government funded Community Renewal Fund project.

CRF Programme Officer Saskia Walsh stated at the time, “Thanks to Judi-mae, we were able to successfully advertise the project Norwich-wide and ended up exceeding our delivery targets for participant attendance.”

Alderton has over 20 years’ experience working for local businesses – such as Anglian Home Improvements, where she launched their very first digital marketing strategy in 2007 – as well as Head of Marketing for both Lacons and Woodforde’s Breweries.

Corporate LiveWire Awards Judge, Osmaan Mahmood said, “Each winner of these awards has made a substantial contribution to their sector with an innovative view to pushing business success and ideas. We look forward to seeing how they will continue to demonstrate their commitment in the future.”

Judie-mae said, “I am incredibly proud of this achievement. It reflects not just my personal journey but the collective efforts of the whole industry and the unwavering support from the local community, which is so amazing in Norfolk, this beautiful county of ours.

“This award is not just a recognition; it’s a testament to the spirit of innovation, service excellence and community support that define Norfolk’s business landscape.”
