Hydromarque acquired by Swedish water group

Peterborough pump specialists Hydromarque Group Ltd have joined the WTR Group.

Hydromarque is a long-established and highly respected UK specialist in pump solutions and the exclusive UK distributor for Gorman-Rupp and Cornell pumps.

Founded in 1987, the company has built a market-leading reputation for technical excellence, customer service and complete pumping solutions across wastewater, clean water, food processing and other industrial applications.

Hydromarque has secured long partnerships with leading global pump manufacturers and supports a large national installed base of over 2,450 pump sets, creating strong recurring demand for spares, servicing and replacement.

The company works closely with major UK water utilities and is well positioned for the upcoming AMP8 investment cycle, supported by active involvement in storm-tank, phosphorus-removal and effluent-polishing programmes.

Khashayar Nikavar is CEO of WTR Group, which supplies products and services to the Northern Europe water and wastewater sector.

He said: “We are delighted to welcome Hydromarque to WTR Group.

“Their deep technical expertise, strong supplier partnerships, and long-standing relationships within the water, food and industrial sectors gives us a great strategic fit.

“Hydromarque’s reputation for quality, reliability and customer support aligns perfectly with our vision, and we look forward to working closely with the team to accelerate our joint growth in the UK and across Northern Europe.”

Rob Newcombe, Managing Director of Hydromarque, added: “Joining WTR Group marks an exciting new chapter for Hydromarque.

“Their long-term vision aligns strongly with our own, and the partnership provides a great platform to accelerate our growth. We look forward to the opportunities this collaboration will bring for our customers, our people and the group as aw whole.”

A spokesman says the acquisition represents an important step in WTR Group’s long-term strategy to expand its presence in water and wastewater solutions across Northern Europe.

Hydromarque’s complementary product portfolio, customer base and recurring revenue model provide an excellent platform for continued growth.
