Merger ‘strengthens’ commercial and agricultural lending

Woodstone Funding Ltd has merged with David Booth Finance Ltd, bringing together two established Suffolk businesses with extensive experience in commercial and agricultural asset finance.

The merger, creating new business Agrilend, combines Woodstone Funding’s almost 17 years of arranging finance for commercial vehicles, plant, machinery and business equipment with David Booth’s lifelong career in agricultural finance.

Having established David Booth Finance Ltd 10 years ago, David will continue to work alongside the Woodstone Funding team, ensuring customers continue to benefit from his specialist knowledge of the agricultural sector.

For customers, very little will change. They will continue working with the people they know while benefiting from a wider range of lenders and finance options across both the commercial and agricultural sectors.

Woodstone Funding Director Rob Gaffer said: “Between us, we already support more than 500 businesses.

“David has spent his career working in agricultural finance and has built an excellent reputation with farmers and rural businesses. Bringing our businesses together means we can offer specialist knowledge across both commercial and agricultural asset finance while continuing to provide the personal service our customers expect.”

David added: “I’ve worked in agricultural finance throughout my career and have spent the last 10 years building David Booth Finance Ltd.

“The most important thing for me was ensuring customers continued to receive the same level of service and advice they’ve always had, and that’s exactly what this merger delivers.”

The business will continue to support customers across the commercial and agricultural sectors, arranging finance for everything from tractors and combines to commercial vehicles, plant, machinery and specialist equipment.
