Prior Power Solutions relocates engine sales and parts division amid record group-wide growth

  • Specialist marine and industrial engine sales and parts division moves to dedicated 4,000 sq ft facility close to main Great Yarmouth office
  • Expansion frees up vital workshop space at Gapton Hall Road headquarters to scale up fabrication capacity
  • Milestone follows record-breaking results across the whole company, spearheaded by surging global demand for proprietary nitrogen pumps

Prior Power Solutions has declared its new engine sales and parts facility on Hewett Road, Great Yarmouth officially open for business. The 4,000 sq ft facility was formally unveiled by managing director James Rix, who cut the ceremonial ribbon flanked by his team. Customers will be welcomed to the site at an event on Friday (October 16th).

The strategic move provides significantly enhanced workspace for the specialist engine sales and parts team and allows the company to release around 2,500 sq ft of valuable workshop space at its main Gapton Hall Road headquarters.

This reclaimed area will be immediately repurposed to increase manufacturing capacity, supporting growing customer demand across oil and gas, marine commercial, offshore wind, and industrial sectors in the UK and around the world.

Managed by Stuart Holland, the engine sales and parts team, which will soon be 11-strong, plays a pivotal role in supporting regional and international clients. “As a business, we have grown massively over the past couple of years,” said Stuart, increasing our head count from around 80 to over 100.

“The growth has put pressure on space, so when the opportunity arose to move into the Hewett Road facility just around the corner, we seized on it.”

Stuart said the move had taken place over the past eight weeks without any disruption to sales or customer satisfaction metrics, and by having greater and much more usable space, greater efficiencies will follow.

“We’ve just been getting on quietly with the transition without any of our customers being aware or impacted,” said Stuart.

Prior Power Solutions is an authorised dealer for world-leading brands including Cummins, Deutz, Fleetguard Filtration, FPT, HIFI Filter, Rehlko, Separ, Sullair, and Volvo Penta. It also supplies genuine parts for Perkins and Caterpillar.

The team’s industry-leading standards have been consistently recognised with major accolades, including being named Regional Dealer of the Year for 2025 performance by Cummins and receiving the Volvo Penta Customer Excellence Award.

Operating alongside the company’s dedicated engine service department, the division supports both local companies – particularly those involved in offshore wind – and ships parts globally, dispatching an average of 350 packages every month, a figure Stuart Holland expects to grow with the move to the new premises.

The division’s growth forms part of an exceptionally strong period of business for Prior Power Solutions as a whole. The company has experienced record levels of commercial activity across its manufacturing and service operations, led primarily by a stellar performance from its specialised nitrogen pump division and power station outage support.

Earlier this year, Prior Power Solutions reported unprecedented global demand for its high-calibre nitrogen pumps, particularly across South America, West Africa, and Australia, resulting from a major rental initiative and targeted international focus. This surge in custom has driven year-on-year workforce expansion and reinforced the company’s status as a premier UK manufacturer of mission-critical oil and gas equipment.

The wider business benefits from the backing of parent company Suretank, creating a fully integrated offering that spans advanced design, bespoke manufacturing, certification, and comprehensive field support.

With enhanced facilities for its engine sales and parts division, increased fabrication capabilities at its headquarters, and strong momentum across its specialist equipment and rental portfolios, Prior Power Solutions remains ideally positioned to deliver robust performance through 2026 and beyond.
