Top 100 law firm Birketts has advised leading property consultancy practice, Concertus, on successfully setting up a joint venture with Derbyshire County Council to expand its business to a second office location in Matlock, Derbyshire. Derbyshire County Council were keen to recreate Concertus’ public sector consultancy successes in the region.
Formed in 2013 following the divestment of Suffolk County Council’s corporate property division, Concertus is a multi-discipline practice delivering property expertise in the East Anglian region and beyond. Concertus provides a full range of innovative property and construction solutions services including energy design, architecture and interior design, quantity surveying and project management.
It is hoped that establishing a second office location will enable Concertus to geographically diversify its client base and extend its project reach.
The deal was led by Claire Jones (Public Sector) with assistance from Laura Gray (Corporate) and Amy Guest (Employment).
