Rogers & Norton advises on the sale of leading East Anglian theme park Pleasurewood Hills

Norfolk law firm Rogers & Norton has advised on the acquisition of Pleasurewood Hills, one of East Anglia’s best-known family attractions. The purchase marks an exciting new chapter for the park and strengthens the law firm’s growing reputation for advising clients within the Leisure and Entertainment sector, particularly the attractions industry.

The park has been purchased by Freddy Stokes and his two brothers Spencer and Davis at Premier Attractions Ltd. Freddy is a Northeast–born and Yorkshire-based showman with a long family history in the leisure and fairground industry. Pleasurewood Hills, based near Lowestoft, has been a much-loved destination for over 40 years. The new ownership team plans to invest further in the theme park and expand its offering to enhance the visitor experience and drive regional tourism growth.

The deal was led by Matthew Evans, Corporate and Commercial Solicitor, with oversight from Alistair Ponder, Head of Corporate and Commercial at Rogers & Norton.

Freddy Stokes commented “Matthew and Alistair of Rogers & Norton were excellent advisors throughout the transaction – very practical and commercial, with vital local knowledge that helped us get this deal over the line. Rogers & Norton have become an integral part of our team and are now on the journey with us as we look to expand our business portfolio and acquire more parks across the country.’’

Matthew Evans, Corporate and Commercial Solicitor at Rogers & Norton said: “It was a pleasure to support the new owners on this exciting acquisition. Pleasurewood Hills is an iconic attraction and a valued part of the local community. We’re proud to have played a role in facilitating the transaction and look forward to continuing to support the business as it grows and develops.”
