Take on the Team Challenge at the Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon

The Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon is back for 2023, taking place on Sunday 17 September. Bookings are open for runners to sign up, but why not get a team of your colleagues, friends, or family together and enter the brand new ‘Team Challenge’, which will sit alongside the main event of the day. Aiming to be more inclusive of different teams from all backgrounds, event organisers are inviting teams within local businesses, sport teams, clubs, family, or friends to take part.

You need a minimum of four in your team (with no upper limit on participant numbers), and you’ll battle it out to be crowned Team Challenge Champions!

Rather than competing as individuals, participants will work collectively to cross the line in the quickest combined time. In addition to being team focused, the Team Challenge boasts a more premium package with the inclusion of a few extra perks, including race day kit, team t-shirts and prizes for the winners.

Organised by Run For All, the Team Challenge aims to be friendly, fun and only a little bit competitive! It’s a fantastic way for teams to strengthen their teamwork and engage in friendly race-day rivalry, all while raising money for many deserving charities.

Ian Fitch, Partner at Larking Gowen, said, “We’re delighted to be supporting the Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon Team Challenge. The challenge will be a fantastic way to get involved as a team, whether that’s a group of friends looking to raise much needed funds for their charity of choice, or a business looking for a team-building opportunity.

“As a firm, we’re looking forward to joining in the action and encourage runners of all abilities and ages to join us.”

Runners are encouraged to fundraise for their chosen charity or one of the event’s partner charities; the Jane Tomlinson Appeal, St Elizabeth Hospice, Lighthouse Women’s Aid, Fresh Start – new beginnings, Home-Start, Futurestars, Ipswich Town Foundation, Suffolk Libraries, and Suffolk Mind.
