Birketts PR and Communications team lands new PR Executive

Top 100 law firm Birketts is delighted to announce the appointment of Jake Foxford as a PR and Communications Executive in its highly regarded PR and Communications Team.

Jake has a strong background in journalism, communications and media and has significant experience in social media marketing, digital marketing, advertising and copywriting. Prior to joining Birketts, Jake worked as a Digital Reporter for a regional news outlet and as a Marketing Executive for a local authority organisation. During this time he worked with clients across the public and private sector, working closely with family businesses and SMEs across the region.

Jake will work alongside existing PR and Communications Team members including Ellen Davies (Videographer), Alexa Downing (PR and Communications Executive) and Sam Mckechnie (Digital Marketing Executive), all of whom are led by Head of PR and Communications, Matthew Rowe. Jake joins a wider cohort which also includes the Business Development and Marketing Teams, all of whom report to Janet Rudge (Client Services Director), bringing the total number of team members up to 18.

Jake said of his appointment: “I am delighted to join Birketts. As a forward-thinking law firm, with a very clear strategic approach to digital marketing, I am confident that my varied skills will make a strong and positive impact. I am excited to work alongside a team known for its well-oiled and efficient approach to marketing and look forward to playing my part in boosting the team’s already impressive portfolio of marketing and PR materials.”

Matthew Rowe, Head of Birketts’ PR and Communications team, concluded: “We are thrilled to welcome Jake to the PR and Communications Team. Despite being a year of uncertainty, Birketts has continued to stand out in the marketplace, winning awards and serving clients throughout this difficult time. As a result, we have reported on an increasing number of deals and seen substantial growth in the level of engagement across our social accounts, increasing the demand for another PR specialist. I have no doubt that Jake’s journalistic experience and extensive skillset will be a huge asset to the team and to Birketts as a whole.”

Although Jake will be based in Ipswich, he will support colleagues across all of Birketts’ offices including Cambridge, Chelmsford, London and Norwich.
