The benefits of online learning.

One of the benefits of lockdown, where employees have worked from home, has been the reduction in the amount of time that employees have spent travelling when commuting to and from work. Many employees have established a place at home where they can work comfortably with access to the internet.

As a business leader, balancing the day-to-day needs of the business with continuous professional development can be a challenge. By choosing online and virtual learning, you can be assured that everyone gets the development they need, with minimal disruption to workflow.

Online learning is not new – I was involved in writing online learning materials back in the 1990’s. However, compared with the floppy discs (remember those?) on which we transferred the resources and the very static nature of the learning materials, today’s learning resources are very different.

Many online and virtual learning options are so similar to the traditional face to face classroom delivery in that participants can interact with each other, work in small groups (no need to worry about social distancing), write on ’white boards’ and also interact with the tutor. All of this, combined with the flexibility for participants to learn from their workplace or while at home.

Many of our online standalone learning courses have CPD unit values and are approved by organisations such as RoSPA and ILM. They can be taken at any time of day or night, learning can be paused and revisited and learning is checked at the end of each module before the participant progresses to the next topic.

We offer online learning courses in three main areas:

  • Health and safety (including food safety)
  • Business Skills
  • Health and Social Care

Our virtual learning workshops are based on Everything DiSC® and Five Behaviors™ of a Cohesive Team profile assessments and include topics such as leadership, management, productive conflict, agile EQ and teamwork.

So, what are the main benefits of online and virtual learning?

  • Reduced travel time – more time at work
  • Reduced travel costs
  • Cost effective – ask about our subscription service
  • Flexible timings – participants can take our online learning courses at any time day or night!
  • Tracking of completion of online learning courses
  • Instant certificates on completion of courses
  • Continuous access to online learning materials

Get in touch today to find out how we can flexibly support you and your employees – you can try the first module of any online learning course free of charge and can also review sample completed Everything DiSC and Five Behaviors profile assessment reports.
