Considering self or business development? Looking to learn new skills, boost profits, improve business performance? Kickstart your plans by joining the University of East Anglia’s (UEA) ‘Help to Grow: Management’ course with Norwich Business School. Applications are open to join the sixth cohort, starting on January 6, 2025.
The course provides an environment where you can meet and learn from other business leaders, covering topics in a structured, time-efficient, blended style, rather than being taken away from the business.
The programme is structured across 50 hours with 12 scheduled teaching sessions, delivered as interactive webinars and face-to-face workshops. Participants also benefit from peer-to-peer sessions and networking in small groups. Business mentoring ensures further support tailored to your business and particular issues. Participants will enhance their management and strategic abilities, learn how to innovate, and adopt digital technologies to boost productivity and operational agility. They will also graduate with a ‘Growth Action Plan’, bespoke to their business and benefit from ongoing learning and networking opportunities.
Vanessa Collen, managing director at Collen & Clare and part of the course’s first cohort, said: “I would, genuinely, encourage any business to consider the programme. From the cohort I was a part of, I know that we all took ideas away to implement and I firmly believe that growth – be it personal or professional – was something we all benefited from. “For me, as a business owner and founder of just over 20 years, attending the Help to Grow programme has given me the boost, confidence, optimism, and network to look ahead, while also taking the time to be proud of what I and my team have achieved (something I think we often find hard to do). If you have the opportunity to learn and stay curious, I suggest you grab it.”
‘Help to Grow: Management’ is a well-established nationwide course and 85+ regional businesses from a wide range of sectors – including science and technology, electronics and aviation, social enterprise, retail, and logistics – have completed the course with Norwich Business School. The course supports managers and leaders of SMEs with 5-249 employees, and those with 10+ employees may apply for two places. The 12-week programme is designed to fit alongside full-time work and is 90% funded by the Government, meaning the fee payable by participants is £750.
