New conveyancing service launched to help people buy and sell houses faster with less risk post lockdown

As lockdown is eased, UK residents looking to buy and sell their property can resume. Indeed, over 700 homes were listed on Rightmove in the 10 days following Boris Johnson’s announcement on 10th May.

In Suffolk, property law experts, Attwells Solicitors, are leading the way with a new conveyancing service with the sole purpose of speeding up and safeguarding conveyancing transactions.

With around 35% of all property sales collapsing within the first three weeks, and this likely to be higher due to the Coronavirus, this service is intended to avoid the cost of a failed sale, which on average is £2,700.

To help stimulate the property market, Move Ready, Attwells new conveyancing service, is free of charge for those instructing them – and ensures the majority of the legal work required is completed before the property is placed on the market.

The speed and security provided by the Move Ready service should help people to recoup some of the time lost in lockdown. Currently the average time it takes to move home is five months, from agreeing a price to completion. Attwells new conveyancing service will significantly reduce this.

Property expert and founder Partner, Nick Attwell, explains: “The only way to speed up property transactions and get people moved is to provide full and meaningful information prepared by a Solicitor upfront.”

This approach of selling a property was recently recommended by Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer, presenters of the Channel 4 property programme Location, Location, Location. They commented in a recent interview for the Sunday Times that getting your solicitor to pre-prepare a contract, having the required paperwork and deeds ready to go was best practice >>  https://apple.news/AEJO_LLyKT86M5dHvsP3DqA

To support this method Attwells have also designed a buyers’ pack, Offer Ready, to put buyers making an offer in a stronger position. This will pre-qualify buyers, offering sellers and estate agents a welcomed level of reassurance during this challenging time.
